Abstract:Aiming at the problem of the signal coordination control in trunk road, a novel dynamic subsection coordination control technique is proposed. Firstly, the influences of the intersection distance, the traffic density and the cycle time on the correlation degree between two neighboring intersections are analysed. The fuzzy computing method of correlation degree based on hierarchical structure and the division method of control subarea based on correlation degree are designed. Then the subarea coordination control algorithm is also designed by which the public cycle time of control subarea, up-run offset and down-run offset of section, and split of each intersection are obtained. The actual application shows that the proposed technique can decrease the average travel time and average stop rate effectively, and the application result is very satisfied.
