Abstract:Reaching consensus is a desired goal for any group decision making problem. With respect to the consensus problem in multiple attribute group decision making(MAGDM), two methods are proposed to assist the group in achieving a predefined consensus level. It is assumed that the final solution is made based on the group decision matrix obtained by aggregating individual decision matrix. For the aggregations using weighted arithmetic averaging(WAA) operator and weighted geometric average(WGA) operator, two algorithms are presented to control the consensus process of MAGDM, respectively. The convergence property of the proposed methods is also discussed. The proposed methods show that the difference of the individuals and modification of individual preferences impacts on the group preference. Finally, an example is given to show the application and effectiveness of the proposed methods.
